Part of The Armoury's Dayware collection, The Wright Jacket, named for Orville and Wilbur Wright is inspired by flight jackets from the early 20th century, particularly the A1 and A2. They’ve taken the buttoned front design and button-through pockets of the A1 and combined them with the turn down collar of the A2. The jacket has been cut shorter to accommodate for higher trousers, and they’ve raised the top buttoning point to close higher up near the neck.

The Wright Jacket is made exclusively for The Armoury in Italy at a factory that has been producing leather jackets for over 4 generations. This water resistant and lightweight matte silk makes for a great transitional windbreaker. With the benefit of owning their own tannery, The Armoury were able to work with this soft “Pelle Di Capra” goat suede in a perfectly matched blue suede under collar. An important part of the Wright jacket design, as it allows the collar to stand up properly when popped.
